Martial Arts is the ideal alternative for kids who are looking for self confidence and not interested in team sports.  It takes dedication and commitment which pays off in higher scholastic achievement.  Since students learn at their own pace, the competitive edge is removed and more emphasis is placed on personal goals and self advancement.

We all realize the school system offers very little in the way of physical activities, and unlike school sports, your son or daughter will never be the last one to be picked for a team - which boosts self confidence, and self esteem!

While we realize that your child is not addicted to video games or a TV addict, but the reality is, many of today’s youth waste more hours in sedentary isolation that eventually limits their social contact.

This is one of the areas that a structured Martial Arts program helps the most!

One of the major problems with a sedentary lifestyle is muscles lose their tone, and endurance and stamina are the first to suffer.

Science has proven that just a few hours of physical training can not only tone up and trim up kids, it sharpens their minds, which results in better grades.

They learn to focus and channel their energy into something positive that they can become proud of.

At Tiger Paw Martial Arts, we expect courtesy and respect and this transfers to all aspects of their lives. Ask any teacher who has students enrolled in Martial Arts and they will tell you those students are among the most polite and well behaved.

They learn to approach problems in logical ways and to make the best use of their time.

Many parents are concerned their kids will become violent or bullies when they start to practice Martial Arts, but in fact the opposite has proven true.  Practitioners of the arts would rather avoid a physical conflict and their ego is not as easily bruised.

Those children who have become enamoured with violence on TV and in video games soon realize there is a big difference between what they see on TV as compared to real life.  This change in perspective is one of the prime reasons parents enrol their kids.

Trust us.  By the time they learn to defend themselves from bullies, they realize that except for defending themselves, fighting for the sake of fighting is a waste of time.

What could your child accomplish if their self esteem and confidence was boosted?
